Barb Penner Legacy Fund

In 2018, the STANDING FIRM Advisory Council created a scholarship fund in memory of our beloved colleague, the late Barb Penner. Many of you may remember that Barb collaborated with STANDING FIRM businesses to deliver training for staff, managers, supervisors, human resources professionals, and company leaders on best practices for addressing partner violence as both a workplace and workforce issue.

The Barb Penner Legacy Fund aims to offer financial assistance to non-profit organizations and small companies that often struggle with training costs, enabling them to access these essential services.

Future contributions made in Barb’s honor will sustain the Legacy Fund moving forward. This initiative will enhance access to the necessary resources to ensure safe workplaces free from partner violence and maintain a productive workforce. We are confident that Barb would wholeheartedly support this important endeavor.
